Instructions

Please read this manual before using the product to ensure the controller and related software are used correctly.

This user manual provides information on how to set up and operate the Radonix PC-Pro LAN and PC-Smart controllers for CNC machines. To use this information effectively, a basic knowledge of industrial electricity is required. Knowledge about the drive motors used in the machine and their wiring is also necessary as complementary information for proper electrical panel installation.

When the interface is installed, default settings are loaded that serve as a wiring template accessible through the program settings. These settings include inputs, outputs, and axes. However, depending on conditions, different wiring templates may be applied, and the hardware can be synchronized with the software by modifying the program settings.

Radonix offers several interfaces for starting router machines. The most commonly used examples are the XYZ-Router interface for simple 3-axis routers and the XYZA-Router interface for 4-axis rotary routers. When these are installed on a computer, preconfigured settings for inputs and outputs are also loaded.

The following symbols represent:

❗️

Indicates a hazardous situation which, if not avoided, could result in serious injury or death.

⚠️

Indicates a hazardous situation which, if not avoided, could result in serious injury or death.

Indicates an action that is not recommended and may cause malfunction of the controller.

Product Wiring:

❗️

Do not connect the controller’s power supply directly to the mains or 220V; improper connection may cause serious damage to the controller.

🚧

* Use shielded cables and foil when connecting to the drivers' encoders to avoid noise.

  • Double-check the wiring before connecting the controller to the power supply and ensure all connections are correct.

* Make sure the grounding of the electrical panel and your computer case is properly done. Otherwise, the noise generated may interfere with the computer and software functionality.

  • Use the correct cable size during wiring; otherwise, resistance in the cable may negatively affect data transmission.

Product Software:

❗️

Before using the controller and software, properly configure the software parameters; otherwise, serious damage to the mechanical system may occur.

Maintenance and Repair:

Do not touch the controller while it is operating; this may result in electric shock.

📘

Only individuals with knowledge of electronics should be responsible for maintenance and repair.

Note

To improve the understanding of this document, below are brief explanations of a few commonly used terms:

  • Interface: The main link between the user and the Radonix Cam-Pro program; this is what the user sees on the computer and uses to communicate with the controller.
  • Variable: All numerical and textual data that allow modifications in interface display, movements, and system responses.
  • Function: Programs that execute specific commands and instructions defined by the controller or user and ensure communication between them.
  • Parameter: Internal controller or interface variables that enable changes during program execution or system movement.
  • Key (Switch): Can refer to both hardware and software switches and are defined according to the type of application.
