Password

Defining a Password to Protect Basic Settings

To protect the device's core settings and prevent unauthorized changes, you can define a password of up to 8 characters. This password is case-sensitive and can include letters, numbers, and symbols.

The password restricts changes to fundamental variables that affect the device, allowing only general settings to be modified.

⚠️

Important
The password is transferred with the backup settings file. If you load this file on another computer, you must know the password to change the settings.

To define a password:

  1. Open the Setting window and go to the Security tab.
  2. In the Password section, click the Add button.
  3. Enter your desired password twice (Step 2), then click OK. (Figure 20)

  • The Spacebar also counts as a character.
  • To remove the password, enter the old password in the Current Password field and click OK.
  • The password is not stored in hardware, so it is not as secure as Time Locks.
